Dental CAD/CAM technology consists of three processes:
- The scanning of the tooth or dental implant on the model.
- The computer design of the esthetic prosthesis by means of a three-dimensional software (which allows calculating the insertion axes (cuts) having reference of the antagonist model (the opposing teeth with which it will be chewed), drawing a line on the cervical margin and magnifications of 500%).
- And the robotic milling or fabrication of the copings (the inside of the crowns, which is also part of the margin that will seal with the tooth), from the information of the prosthesis design in a few minutes.
