Microscopic Root Canal
Performed under a surgical microscope, where the canals are actually visible — because a root canal is meant to be done once.
A root canal fails for one reason more than any other: a canal that was never found. Molars routinely have four, sometimes five, and the additional ones are often too narrow to see with the naked eye.
Under high magnification they are visible. That is the difference between a treatment that resolves the infection and one that leaves part of it behind to resurface a couple of years later, in the same tooth, with less structure left to work with.
The reputation of root canals comes from the infection, not from the procedure. By the time most patients arrive, the pain is already at its worst — the treatment is what ends it.
Who treats your root canal
Endodontic treatment here is performed by Dra. Andrea Pablos, whose practice has been limited to endodontics for more than five years, of more than ten in dentistry. She trained in general dentistry and in the endodontic specialty at Universidad de La Salle Bajío, with continuing education in operating microscopy with ZEISS (2021) and CBCT tomography (2022). Cédula profesional 12829005. The studio’s second endodontist is Dra. Dorthy Raygoza, Cirujano Dentista from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (2014) with an endodontic specialty from the UABC postgraduate centre (2018), cédula profesional 11959538.
A root canal is judged by what the imaging shows inside the tooth, not by how much it hurts on the day. Both endodontists here work on endodontic cases only, and that is the difference between a canal treated once and one that has to be revisited.
What the microscope changes
Diagnosis under magnification
Cracks, extra canals and the true extent of the infection are identified before treatment begins, not discovered halfway through.
Cleaning what can be seen
Each canal is located, shaped and disinfected along its full length. What is never found is what comes back.
Sealed and protected
The canal system is filled and sealed, and the tooth is restored so it can carry load again — usually with a crown, on back teeth.
Does a root canal hurt?
The procedure is done under local anesthesia, and most patients describe the appointment as uneventful compared with the days that led up to it. Tenderness for a few days afterwards is normal.
Why does a previously treated tooth still hurt?
Usually because a canal was missed, incompletely cleaned, or has become reinfected through a leaking restoration. Retreatment under magnification is often possible, and it starts by finding what was not found the first time.
What it costs
Prices in USD. Every plan is confirmed after imaging and clinical evaluation; the written estimate you receive before treatment is the one that applies.

- Your case planned in 3D before treatment begins
- A treatment plan written in English
- A direct line to the clinic once you are home
Keeping your own tooth is generally worth more than replacing it, when the tooth is restorable and periodontally sound. When it is fractured below the gum line or has too little structure left, the implant becomes the better plan.
No. It is done under local anesthesia and you can drive yourself home. Many cases are completed in a single appointment, with the final restoration planned as a separate visit.
On molars and premolars, usually. A treated tooth is more brittle under chewing load, and the crown is what prevents the fracture that would end the tooth entirely.
