Dentures and Removables
Teeth you can take out — made to fit, to chew and to look like your own.
Removable prosthodontics replaces missing teeth with a prosthesis you take out to clean: a complete denture when no teeth remain, a partial denture when some do, and an immediate denture when teeth are being removed and you do not want to be left without them.
What decides whether a denture works is fit and bite. A denture that rocks, rubs or clicks is usually one made without enough records. Here the mouth is measured first — impressions, the bite, the support of the lips and the space between the jaws — and the teeth are set and tried in before the final piece is processed.
The options, and what each one is for
Complete dentures
For an arch with no teeth left. The denture rests on the gums and the bone beneath them, and its stability depends on how precisely it is shaped to both.
Partial dentures
For an arch where some teeth remain. The partial holds onto them and fills the gaps — on a metal framework or in a flexible, metal-free material.
Immediate dentures
Made in advance and placed the same day teeth are removed, so you are never without teeth. As the gums heal it is relined, and later replaced or converted into a definitive denture.
Will a denture look natural?
It can. The shape, size and shade of the teeth are chosen against your face, and the gum part is tinted to match. You see the teeth set in wax and try them in before anything is final.
What if my current denture is loose?
Sometimes a reline is enough to restore the fit. When the gums and bone have changed too much, a new denture made on fresh records is the more reliable answer, and the examination tells you which.

Frequently asked
What patients ask before they book. If yours is not here, the fastest answer is a call.
- Your case planned in 3D before treatment begins
- A treatment plan written in English
- A direct line to the clinic once you are home
Years, with good care. The gums and the bone underneath keep changing, so most dentures need a reline from time to time and, eventually, replacement. Regular check-ups tell you when.
Several short visits, because each stage — records, bite, wax try-in and delivery — is checked before the next one. They can be grouped around your trips, and the plan tells you how many in advance.
It is usually recommended to take it out at night so the gums can rest, and to clean it every day. You receive specific care instructions at delivery.
A denture should fit the mouth it was made for.
If yours rocks, rubs or keeps you from eating what you want, that is a fit problem, and fit problems have answers. It starts with an evaluation of what you have now.
