Full Arch Dental Implants

Replacing an entire upper or lower arch with a fixed, implant-supported bridge — the category that All-on-4, All-on-6 and All-on-X all belong to.

Full arch treatment is for a jaw where most or all of the teeth are gone, or where what remains is beyond saving. The alternative is a removable denture, and the difference between the two is not cosmetic.

A fixed bridge carried by implants transmits chewing force into bone. A denture rests on gum tissue, moves under load, and leaves the bone beneath it without the stimulus that maintained it. Over the years that difference shows in the face, not only in the mouth.

All-on-4, All-on-6 and All-on-X are names for how many implants carry that bridge. The naming matters far less than the diagnosis behind it: bone volume, arch length, bite force, and whether the upper or the lower jaw is being restored. Upper and lower behave differently and are planned as separate decisions.

Who restores a full arch

Dr. Rafael Cortés Álvarez, Director of Makeover Dental Studio, is a pioneer of guided implant surgery in Baja: in 2006 he placed the region’s first All-on-6 case using NobelGuide 3D technology, and he has worked with Nobel Biocare for the nineteen uninterrupted years since. He graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and holds a diploma from Loma Linda University. His work carries the imprint of two lineages: the direct mentorship of Professor Dr. Alan Kleiman, a pioneer in modern implant research, and the advanced protocols of Dr. Sascha Jovanovic’s continuing-education system, which he keeps refining alongside faculty from the world’s leading implant programs. That is what mentorship passes down, case by case — and it is the method behind the plan presented to you. Cédula profesional 5933630.

A full-arch rehabilitation touches surgery, prosthetics and laboratory work at once. The surgical half is his, planned in three dimensions and coordinated with the studio’s own laboratory.

Expertise on every implant case

Dr. Jorge Maytorena is a leading surgeon on the dental team. He works closely with the DASS protocol (Digitally Assisted Soft tissue Sculpturing) — the digital workflow developed by Dr. Alessandro Pozzi and taught alongside Dr. Lorenzo Arcuri. This cutting-edge technique maps the bone and gum interface on screen before surgery, so the arch placed that same day is shaped to guide how the tissue heals; this allows a finished full-arch case to read as teeth, rather than as pink acrylic. His practice in Baja California focuses on this advanced implantology and complex oral rehabilitation, with an emphasis on precise clinical planning and a comprehensive approach developed during his specialized training at Instituto Alzaga. He completed his foundational studies as a Dental Surgeon at CEUS Universidad, and all implant surgeries are carried out jointly, ensuring that critical decisions always benefit from collaborative professional expertise (Cédula profesional 13741153).

From a failing arch to a fixed one

One diagnosis, both jaws

Upper and lower arches are assessed separately. Sinus position, bone density and the opposing bite all change what each one needs.

The surgical day

Remaining compromised teeth are removed and the implants placed in one session, so healing runs once rather than in stages.

Provisional, then definitive

A fixed provisional carries you through integration. The definitive bridge is made once the foundation is confirmed stable.

Is a fixed bridge really better than a denture?

For most patients who can have one, yes, both in how it holds and in what happens to the bone beneath it. A denture is still the right answer in some medical and anatomical situations, and you will be told when yours is one of them.

How many implants will I need?

Four, six or more, depending on bone volume, arch length and bite force. The number is a clinical result rather than a product tier, and imaging is what decides it. Arches here are restored on Straumann — including the Pro Arch protocol — Nobel Biocare and Hiossen systems.

What it costs

Full zirconia bridge over implants, full arch$5,000
Titanium-ceramic bridge, full arch$5,500
Titanium base with individual zirconia crowns, full arch$7,600
Implant-supported overdenture, LOCATOR (4-6 implants)$2,400 – $3,200

Prices in USD. Every plan is confirmed after imaging and clinical evaluation; the written estimate you receive before treatment is the one that applies.

Before & After

Arch cases are recorded from the first scan through the definitive bridge, including the profile view — because restoring an arch restores lip support, and that changes a face more visibly than the teeth alone.

Frequently asked

What patients ask before they book. If yours is not here, the fastest answer is a call.

The bridge is fixed and stays in place; it comes off only in the clinic, for maintenance. Cleaning underneath it is a daily routine you are taught before you leave.

The work divides into a surgical visit and a restorative visit separated by healing, with reviews in between that can be handled remotely. The exact schedule comes with your plan, so travel can be booked around it.

Teeth that can be saved are usually worth saving, and a full arch plan should not be built around removing teeth that had years left in them. Where extraction is genuinely indicated, imaging and periodontal status show why.

You are one step away from eating and smiling without a second thought.

No more endless treatments, no more dentures that never quite fit. With our digital workflow we rebuild your smile with the precision — and the backing — of the most clinically documented implant systems in the world.

A full arch decision deserves a diagnosis before a price. What comes first is imaging, an explanation of what your bone will support, and a written plan with the sequence and the number of visits.
