Before you leave, a short evaluation confirms the implant and the temporary tooth are as they should be. We go over your post-operative instructions and clear you for the trip home.
No gap, and no flipper
You will not go home with an empty space in your smile, and you will not wear an uncomfortable, removable plastic flipper. A highly aesthetic temporary crown is fixed to your new implant root before you leave the chair, together with written instructions for the soft-diet phase.
Is this my final tooth?
No. True osseointegration — the bone fusing with the implant — takes a few months, so the crown fitted on the day is a temporary, designed to function and to look right while the implant integrates. The definitive porcelain or zirconia crown is made afterwards, once the implant can be confirmed solid, and it is a different piece of work.
Does everyone qualify for same-day dental implants?

We measure the exact stability of the implant when it is placed, and if your bone says wait, we wait — the bone healing properly matters more than leaving with the tooth the same day.
