Mexico’s wine country is about ninety minutes south of the clinic, and it is the reason many patients turn a single appointment into a weekend. Small producers, long lunches, and a landscape that looks nothing like the drive down.
Puerto Nuevo and the coast road
The coastal highway from Tijuana runs past Rosarito, Popotla and Puerto Nuevo — the last one built its reputation on lobster served with beans, rice and flour tortillas. It is roughly an hour of driving with the Pacific on your right the whole way.
Worth knowing before you plan it
If you have had surgery, leave the wine and the long drive for the next trip — healing comes first. If your appointment was a check-up, a scan or an aligner delivery, the afternoon is yours and the coast is thirty minutes away.
