A Clear Dental Treatment Plan, With No Surprises
At Makeover Dental Studio, we believe every patient deserves to know exactly what their dental treatment involves and how much it will cost before getting started.
That’s why we begin with a proper evaluation of your dental records and clinical needs. Once we understand your situation, we prepare a personalized treatment plan with a clear breakdown of the recommended procedures and their costs, in writing, before treatment begins.
We want you to feel confident in your decision. You should have the opportunity to review your plan, ask questions, and compare your options without feeling pressured.
Quality matters just as much as price. Choosing dental treatment is an investment in your health, and procedures that need to be redone can mean additional costs, time, and discomfort. That’s why we focus on careful planning, experienced professionals, quality materials, and a treatment plan designed around your needs.
The order is fixed
Records
Imaging and a clinical examination before an opinion is given.
Findings
What is actually there, tooth by tooth, written down.
Sequence
What is done first, what can wait, and how many crossings it involves.
Cost per phase
Each phase priced separately and in writing, before anything begins.
Diagnosis before any figure
Records and findings come first. A number produced before the examination is a number about something other than your mouth.
Itemized, phase by phase
Each stage is listed separately, so you can see what you are committing to now and what belongs to a later phase.
In writing, before anything starts
The document is yours to take away and consider. Nothing begins on the strength of a figure mentioned in conversation.
Why can't I be given a price over the phone?
Because the same words describe very different treatments. Two patients asking about a crown can need entirely different work: one has a straightforward preparation, the other needs endodontic treatment, a post and crown lengthening before a crown is even possible. A figure given without records is either a number for the simplest possible version, which will grow, or an average, which is a number for nobody. What can be offered before you travel is a preliminary opinion from recent radiographs, and that is genuinely useful — including when it tells you that you need less than you were told.
What is included in a written plan?
The findings, the treatment proposed for each, the sequence it happens in, the number of appointments and crossings involved, and the cost of each phase set out separately rather than as a single total. Separated that way, you can see which parts are urgent and which can wait, and you can compare it honestly against a plan from another practice. A plan that arrives as one figure with a list of procedures underneath it is difficult to evaluate and difficult to question, which is often the point.
What changes a quotation
Can the plan change once treatment has started?
Occasionally a plan changes once treatment is under way, and the honest cases are specific: a tooth that turns out not to be restorable, a site that needs grafting once it is opened. When that happens it is explained and re-quoted before the work is done, not added to an invoice afterwards.
Send us a plan you already have
If you have a treatment plan from another practice, send it with whatever imaging you have. A second reading tells you whether the treatment proposed was justified, which is a more useful comparison than price alone.
Frequently asked
Can treatment be done in stages?
Frequently, yes, and it is worth asking. Many plans separate cleanly into what needs doing now and what can reasonably wait, and where that is clinically sound the sequence is arranged around it.
If I'm coming from San Diego, when do I need to make a decision?
Not before you have the written plan. Records can be taken on a first visit and the plan reviewed at home before you decide anything, which is the sequence most cross-border patients prefer.
Is there a guarantee on the work?
That is a fair question to ask directly, and the answer should be specific rather than reassuring: what is covered, for how long, and under what conditions. Ask it of any practice you are considering, and expect it in writing.
